Participation in the “DIGITAL TWIN for Smart Maintenance” 5-Day Bootcamp, organized in collaboration with BOI-STEM. This intensive program was held on August 14-16 and 22-23, 2026, at the University of Phayao.
The bootcamp aimed to elevate engineering and data management skills by integrating Digital Twin technology with Industrial AI to meet the demands of modern industry. Participants engaged in hands-on learning focusing on the following key areas:
- Industrial AI & Vision Systems: Introduction to AI in industry, image processing, noise filtering, lighting techniques, and selecting imaging equipment for defect detection.
- AI Modeling & Training: Deep dive into Deep Learning and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), including data preparation, handling imbalanced data, and measuring model accuracy.
- AI Agents & Predictive Maintenance: Applying AI for predictive maintenance, managing data workflows (Edge vs. Cloud), and integrating systems such as ERP, MES, and PLC.
- Project Management: Evaluating system readiness, calculating ROI and TCO, and project pitching.
Throughout the training, participants completed 9 comprehensive LABS covering the design, development, and testing of Digital Twin, IoT, control systems, AI, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). This hands-on experience ensures the effective application of these cutting-edge technologies in modern building maintenance and industrial systems.
